Post 7. Check-in Challenge Wrap-up (Part 1).

Cornerstone of Skincare: BEING CONSISTENT


Give yourself a big pat on the back! Thank you so much for your commitment and dedication to the process. Hopefully this challenge has given you insight into your own Skincare Journey. I'm not just talking about all the reading and research you've done, but how you apply that knowledge to your own skincare practice. I've given you a gold star for each Check-in and each time you liked or commented on a post and each time you did the follow-up on a Task (updated your Journal, etc).


Cornerstone of Skincare: BEING CONSISTENT

With this Challenge the primary goal was to practice BEING CONSISTENT by using the Check-in Chat to give you daily accountability. Daily practice is an absolute pre-requisite for successful Advanced Skincare. For the duration of this Challenge you've been accountable to each other. Now it's up to you to translate that to the TRUE OBJECTIVE: personal accountability.

To be completely forthright: it's unlikely that anyone else really cares that much about the state of your skin! But you do. No one else is going to hand you the motivation if it doesn't come from inside.

We can all help and support each other but ultimately you need to be able to look in the mirror and feel good about the time that you've taken for self care.


TO THOSE OF YOU WHO DID THE CHECK-IN at least 6 times per week: Congratulations! You've passed the first big milestone and you don't need to question IF you can truly be consistent with your Skincare. You can.


TO THOSE WHO STRUGGLED WITH THIS CHALLENGE (basically, any of you with 5 check-ins per week or less)...

Some of you did better than others and some of you weren't able to commit to washing your face every evening. So if you've struggled with this then it's clear that this is an area that needs to be addressed. You now know accountability to others isn't enough to motivate you, so you need to investigate how to make yourself a priority!

There's no point in developing your routine until you can pinpoint exactly why you are unable to commit to washing your face every night. Those of you who need support in area can be sure that you have the option to continue to work together to find strategies to improve in this area.
